Saint George the Great Martyr — Nursery Icon

Saint George the Great Martyr — Nursery Icon

A timeless icon of Saint George slaying the dragon—an image of courage, protection, and triumph over darkness. Rooted in early Christian tradition, Saint George is honored as a defender of the faithful, a witness to unwavering strength, and a symbol of victory through faith.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” — Psalm 27:1

In both sacred tradition and popular culture, Saint George endures as a guardian figure—one who stands against fear and protects the vulnerable. Within a child’s space, this image carries a quiet reassurance: a presence of strength, watchfulness, and peace.

Faithfully reproduced from an original painting by Zoran Rnjak, the icon is giclée printed on canvas and archival mounted on hardwood. Each piece is individually prepared, cut, and finished by the artist, with the logo hand-burned into the wood and sealed with a natural Danish oil finish.

Created for a child’s room, it offers a sense of protection and calm—a visual reminder of courage, resilience, and the enduring light that overcomes darkness.
