Saint John the Baptist — Nursery Icon

Saint John the Baptist — Nursery Icon

A contemplative icon of Saint John the Baptist, the forerunner of Christ and a voice calling toward repentance and truth. Depicted in the traditional Orthodox manner, his presence is both austere and compassionate—inviting stillness, clarity, and quiet reflection, even within a child’s space.

Faithfully reproduced from an original painting by Zoran Rnjak, this icon preserves the artist’s distinctive mosaic-like paint application, where each mark is individually placed to build depth, light, and a gentle luminosity across the surface.

Giclée printed on canvas and archival mounted onto solid hardwood, each piece is individually prepared, cut, and finished by hand. The wood is sealed with a natural Danish oil, and the ‘Jesus Christ Conquers’ mark is hand-burned into the back.

Designed for a nursery or child’s room, this icon offers a calm and grounding presence—an image of guidance, courage, and spiritual direction.
